The Citroen 2CV was continuously produced and improved between 1949-1990 and became an icon of the French car industry. The car was designed before the war. Its creation is linked to the need to produce a simple and cheap car for the masses, true to the slogan of company boss Pierre Boulanger “quatre roues sous un parapluie” (four wheels under one roof). The car was simplified to the maximum, economical and allowed the comfortable transport of 4 people with luggage.

Dubbed the ugliest car in the world at the 1948 Paris Salon, it became an object of desire, contrary to the opinion of the critics. In 41 years of production, almost 4 million examples were made in factories all over the world. Today, this car has cult status and is a treat for collectors. The AZ version of the car is a saloon with subsequent improvements. A characteristic feature was the removable panoramic roof that could be rolled up.

Thanks to the use of elements specially developed for this car, the shape of the body is as close as possible to the original. Also noteworthy are the completely new headlights, which will certainly be used in many models of the COBI Historical Collection! A separate colour is the roof marked with printed brackets. The car is equipped with 4 movable wheels and imprints of the most important details. The Citroen is 11 cm long and 4.5 cm high. The kit includes a plate with the model’s signature and the period CITROEN logo! The printed number plates also show the model name.
