A Song of Ice & Fire Thorn Watch (Crossbowmen of the Thorn Guard), for 2 players, age 14+.
Usually, pure ranged units are defenceless as soon as the enemy is within melee range. Not so the crossbowmen of the Thorn Guard. They are also highly trained in the use of longswords. Although they are no match for most enemies, at least they will not simply collapse when someone comes within melee range.
The unit expansion A Song of Ice & Fire – Thorn Watch provides players of House Baratheon supported by Renly with a versatile ranged unit for their army. Skilled in the use of crossbows, whose bolts pierce enemy armour with ease, they are also capable of close combat. They also have the ability to break away from their enemies to rain down another killing volley upon them. With a Guard of Thorns Guard reinforcement, this unit gains stamina and freedom of movement on the battlefield.
Note:A Song of Ice & Fire – Baratheon starter set is required to play the expansion.
