The Redcoats are the elite guard of the Lannisters, patrolling the streets of both King’s Landing and Casterly Rock. Their magnificent red cloaks, which are their trademark, are coloured not only because it is the colour of the house, but also to intimidate the populace.

The unit expansion A Song of Ice & Fire – Lannister Redcloaksgives players of House Lannister a new medium infantry unit for their force. The Redcloaks are armoured with half-armour, the best that money can buy in mass production. This gives them a measure of defence and makes them capable of deflecting blows from all but the strongest enemy soldiers. The fact that they are well paid also benefits them on the battlefield, as they know they don’t want to lose their next pay.
