A Song of Ice & Fire – Lannister Halberdiers , expansion for 2 players aged 14 and over

Though they are also capable of offensive strikes, the true strength of House Lannister halberdiers lies in their defensive formations, which allow them to protect their ranged units from cavalry attacks. An enemy commander would have to be crazy to order a frontal attack against such dangerous weapons with such a long range. Also, infantry units coming up to the enemy should consider carefully whether they want to take on a closed phalanx of halberdiers. Caution is advised with enemy flanking maneuvers and hail of arrows, but in the right position there is nothing that can get past the watchful gaze of the halberdier.
