Azul – The Summer Pavilion, board game, 2-4 players, ages 8+ (DE edition)

In the 16th century, King Manuel I commissioned Portugal’s best craftsmen and artists to build new buildings and renovate historic palaces. After the completion of the royal palaces of Evora and Sintra, the king wanted to have a summer pavilion built. It was here that the statues of the most famous members of the royal family should be adequately displayed. The structure was reserved for the best craftsmen, whose skills matched the splendor of the royal family. Unfortunately, King Manuel I died before construction began. In Azul – The Summer Pavilion, players return to 16th century Portugal to complete a task that was never started. As craftsmen, you have to use the best materials to make the summer pavilion splendid. In doing so, you should avoid wasting materials. The pavilion should not be an ordinary building – absolute perfection is expected from the players. Only the best can rise to the challenge of honoring the Portuguese royal family.
