Race to the magic mine!
At the end of the mysterious forest, magic dwarf Rupert is waiting in front of his mine to equip the apprentice wizards’ wands with crystals. The will-o’-the-wisps dictate whether and how far a sorcerer’s apprentice or a common witch may proceed along the path through the mysterious forest. Only through good coordination and the help of the magic dwarf will the sorcerer’s apprentices win the race to the mine.
Magic Dwarf is the second game in the Zauberberg series, the “Children’s Game of the Year 2022”. It can be played cooperatively or in a competitive mode.
How to play Zauberzwerg MBE3:
– Choose one of two face-up cards to move a piece.
– One card shows a witch or sorcerer’s apprentice and a will-o’-the-wisp in one of five colours.
– Consult on which witch or sorcerer’s apprentice to move.
– Move the chosen piece. Move the chosen figure along the path to the next free space that corresponds to the colour of the will-o’-the-wisp shown.
– Some cards show the sorcerer’s dwarf, which you can use to move a witch back a few spaces.
– Then it’s the next person’s turn and they turn over a new card.
– Bring all 4 sorcerer’s apprentices along the path to the finish before 1 of 2 witches arrives there
