All good things come in threes – especially with Z3BRA!
3 matching cards in the deck? Then this trio can go. And that’s good, because what’s not gone scores minus points. Everybody arranges three cards of the same colour or number in their hand like stripes on a zebra: lengthwise, crosswise or diagonally. Then these cards form a trio and are put aside. The goal is to get rid of all the cards, trio by trio.
At the end of the game, all the cards in the draw and in your own draw pile are worth minus points – so get rid of them!
One after the other, the cards in the draw piles are turned over and exchanged, sometimes also with the other players. The game is played until the first person has got rid of all their cards or has turned all their cards face up. Whoever has the fewest minus points then wins.
This is how you play Z3BRA MBE3:
– When it is your turn, you draw a card – either from the draw pile or the discard pile.
– You place the drawn card face up in your 3×3 display and discard the exchanged card.
– If there are three cards in a row next to each other, on top of each other or diagonally, whose number or colour is the same, they form a trio.
– You discard a trio. You discard a trio and then replenish your hand with cards from your personal deck.
– In special cases, you may take a card from another hand to form a trio.
– If all the cards in your hand are face up or you were able to discard all the cards, everyone else has another turn.
– Then the game ends and whoever has the lowest total value on their remaining cards wins.
